Parotitis is the inflammation of parotid glands, occurring as episodes of recurrent acute inflammation due to either obstruction of the parotid duct by calculus or by auto-immune disorders. This duality of aetio-patogenesis is reflected upon its management protocol also. This case report presented is of a 54 year old male with chronic parotitis using multiple Ayurvedic treatment modalities for a period of 10 weeks. The results were promising.
