Yoga, an ancient Indian mind–body discipline, encompasses various practices including Asana, Pranayama, meditation, and mindfulness aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This short communication highlights the potential role of yoga as an integrative approach in the prevention and management of health challenges, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Psychological stress, anxiety, and immune dysregulation associated with the pandemic emphasize the need for supportive non-pharmacological interventions. Yogic practices, especially breathing techniques and meditation, have demonstrated beneficial effects on stress reduction, respiratory function, immune modulation, and overall quality of life. Practices such as Pranayama may improve pulmonary functions, enhance relaxation, and support psychosomatic balance. The article emphasizes the relevance of integrating yoga into healthcare strategies as a holistic approach for improving resilience, promoting wellness, and supporting recovery in various health conditions.
