Abstract

Acute low backache with radiating pain can significantly affect daily activities and quality of life. This case report presents an acute episode of low back pain in a 28-year-old male software professional with radiation to the right lower limb, associated with prolonged sitting posture and occupational stress. The patient was managed with an integrative Ayurvedic approach including internal medications, topical therapies, lumbar traction, rest, and supervised spinal exercises. Gradual improvement was observed from the second day of intervention, with reduction in pain, improved mobility, and relief of radiating symptoms within five days. The case highlights the potential role of a structured Ayurvedic treatment protocol in the management of acute low backache and functional recovery.
