Abstract

Integrative medicine is a patient centred approach that combines evidence based modern medicine with traditional systems of medicine to provide holistic healthcare. It focuses on understanding the patient as a whole rather than treating isolated diseases. Integrative approaches aim to improve treatment outcomes, reduce complications, enhance quality of life, and support self care through lifestyle modifications, counselling, and personalised care. This approach is especially beneficial in chronic conditions where long term management and active patient participation are essential.
